I don't want them. (the rights) Is it just me, or do very few people read the dirt-bike articles? They're the easiest to get "first post" on, I saw this yesterday before there were any posts, but I had nothing to say about the article...

Just look at the comments on land closure articles. I think the street rider backlash turned off a lot of off road riders, and they went elsewhere.

I raced a CRC event this weekend at LACR and in the 125cc amateur / intermediate class there was a 12yr old kid on his dad's new YZ-250F who dominated (and sounded fantastic while doing it) after his moto he would roll back to the Start Line and hand the bike off to his dad, who would then go out and dominate the 125cc Expert race. This was the only 250F at the track on Sunday vs about 35 125 two strokes. Impressive would be an understatement. The announcer kept talking about the AMA possibly banning them from 125cc competition.

The 250F racing in 125 classes has NOTHING to do with the EPA. Obviously (other than direct injection) four strokes will run much cleaner than two strokes. The AMA banning the 250F from racing in the 125 class, would have nothing to do with it's emissions, it would be because of a perceived inequity in the performance, between a modern 250 4-Stroke and a 125 2-Stroke.
