Yeah, but this being virtual and all, we don't get to see burns get socked trying to keep them apart. On the other hand, I have a feeling that he'd just egg them on in real life as well. Maybe they can do a webcast?

But you have to admit, it is a lot of fun to watch the Ford 'Focus' blow up on the rally courses.

Yep! If I had money to wast on cars (rather than inteligently invest in motorcycles) I'd sure rather have a car that's fun in corners than one that's really fast in a straight line. Same way I want the damn V-Rod motor in a Buell! That just might convert me to V-Twins.

Nuh. I'm betting he's more like 32. A now unemployed Arther Andersen Con-sultant who's using the bluster and bull***** to make up for his feelings of sexual 'inadequacy' (to be polite).

Older Harley Guys tend to not give much of a damn what anybody else thinks. They're a lot more fun.

Default The Ironyman?

Wow. That's an interesting theory, and it seems to be the first time it's come up.

Could the Highwayman be employing -gasp!- irony to illustrate an argument? Could it be that his posts are criticism of the very values they're ostensibly promoting? Could it be that the Highwayman has gone over our heads?

Scary thoughts.

Default New Reader Poll!

The Highwayman really is...

A.) Intellectually way above all of us, since he's being ironic

B.) A deep, deep closet case

C.) Wound a little too tightly, but just a well-meaning, if slightly grandiose, Harley rider

D.) The HarleyEmployee

E.) Bitter little accountant

F.) John Burns

Note to MO: feel free to steal and/or modify as needed.

Lucky for me the cars behind me were giving extra room. Then again watching me go from the right tiretrack to the center of the lane without rider inputs gave them a bit of a clue. As did the 70 degree lean I was sporting while riding straight down the road.

Only time that scared me more was a similar storm but I was on my KLR 650, half the weight, twice the height and that huge front wheel catching wind like a sail. That time I thought for sure the wheels were going to blow out from under me.
