I have a confession… I don’t own a Buell, and I never cared for the AMA FX series. I just liked watching AMA Superbike. That was until Buell, entered FX, then for some reason I viewed the entire season… I just wanted to see an American bike race. I loved it when HD was in superbike with the VR1000. Again, I just wanted to see an American bike race…

Buell, is still a small company as compared to others… They don’t make Cars, Musical instruments, Ships or any kind of watercraft. They just make Motorcycles. It cost a fortune in R&D & tooling so Buell did what I thought they should of tried a long time ago and out sourced the dame motor. Making a competitive bike that sells well only means more capital. Then maybe one day they can do it 100% on their own.

So I don’t understand why people complain so much about an out sourced motor… You need to start somewhere.

Now with Buell, entered in the Daytona SportBike class I know one dude that won’t miss a race.

I would like to say something to Eric Buell, if I could. If your bike does well in the Daytona series are you guys planning on coming out with a race replica with a full body kit & paint work?

I think that would be awesome!

You and a couple of million others that were waiting for a 'real motor' in that Buell. Now you are waiting for a 'real race replica' to get off the fence? Sure.

I agree, having a US manufacturer racing with the big boys again is way cool. I can't wait to see the Daytona 200. I'll root for Buell, and if BMW's new bike wins, I'll throw myself from the top of the grandstands. Or no lower than the second row.

Ahh, I had to get out of new posts completely and then come back in. Just when I was thinking "Ya know I should tell folks again today how much I like this new set up". I'll adapt.

Trust me, there are problems with the new forum. Any post I make I can not see unless I log out and log back in. And There are threads that appear empty to me even though it is listed with several posts.

They Admins are still working out some kinks.

I have a friend who owns a Buell, he is quite happy with it. Personally I'm waiting for them to put spoke wheels on them, the engines fine it's just those dam* cast wheels that bother me.......Spoke wheels and I'm in..swear to god..
