Re: The GMP is right again, GPTB says stay the course.
But my point was where did that money go? Some went into developing bigger SUVs and crossovers.. etc. instead of full efficient cars i.e they need a Ford Taurus right now.. remember.. it brought Ford back.

"Wow well said.."

Re: The GMP predicts, Buell will eventually race in AMA superbike.
Although you should be on point I see it as a 1200 cc bike. Mostly because the FIM and AMA will allow the 1200 v-twin to race in '08 since Ducati has a new R superbike to release in the fall.

Very good professor.
Yes an engine that has a longer stroke means the piston will have to travel a longer distance for the same rpm. Thus the piston will have a greater acceleration. Since acceleration is any change in velocity (speed and direction)...

Excellent use of facts and data

Yep I agree... I posted an article about the 1098 has been raced in European Superbike already.. longride probably deleted it.. I also posted another about Ducati saying they won't race the 999 in WSB i.e. they want to race the 1098 or they won't race at all.. What do you think the WSB will do? I say let them race the 1098.. I think the I-4s can beat them anyway unless Bayliss is riding the 1098

How about keeping the exsisting "block" and reconfiguring the valve train to overhead cam status?

Re: Getting off the dead horse I have a solution. But longride probably sabatoged it.
You really need help my friend.....

"Excuse me show me.. Not true.. Why do think they added 5 different SUV models .. Boy Bar you are losing it."

Actually that was your point. Again, you don't read very well at all... including the links you submit for "proof".

Re: HOG: Please Fund Buell's New Engine
My point is that given some engineers and the ability to make engines, maybe Buell could be doing for engines what they've already done with chassis - something new and insightful.

I like V-Twins, I like Guzzis, I'm fine with air-cooled and I'm alright with pushrods. But I think that a heavy old block like Buell's current HD-sourced V-Twin is bound to have plenty of scope for more modern engineering in it.

Maybe that ingenuity that Buell are known for could result in a really tightly integrated frame/engine package that is entirely in character with what they're making now, but with fewer compromises.

Bottom line, I want to see Buell do an engine, because I think it could be cool and different.
