I sell Triumph, Ducati, Guzzi, Husky, MV. All are fine bikes in my book. The people that post here know that my livelyhood is actually Motorcycle Insurance. Been doing it for eight years now. The guys I work with are friends before co-workers because of my agency. They know I do a fine job in the F&I dept. They also know I have a working relationship in about 25 or so bike shops around the SE. I'm not really partial to any type of bike because I am fortunate enough to be able to ride many types. It's more than a job. It's actually fun. I do my best to understand what's happening in the market because in the end it effects my bottom line. Everything that is brought up on this thread lets me have a better understanding of what's happening or going to happen in the market. All that and I get my fair share of sarcasm, dry wit, actual agreement (oddly enough), and great arguements from the peanut gallery. I may not have the cool inside industry job, but I feel as though I do enough research on all of this to consider myself well versed.

2006 seat height 33.1 inches, 2007 31.8. My inseam, ahem, is some what shorter than that. I was on one, shopping, last year. I know the argument, you only need to touch the ground when you stop, but that was too much of a reach for me. Heaven forbid full fuel and traveling gear. Yup the Breva is short, v twin, air cooled and no chain, but I can see that on a seasonal road. Not a problem can't afford either one right now. Perhaps I should get my bike back together instead of dreaming......

Actually it was the EU bureaucracy being taken over by greenie wackos that wrecked the Concord. It was simply regulated out of existence by a bunch of misanthropes. Just like the misantropic lefties in the USA who will end up legislating motorcycles out of existence too if unopposed.

We can apply for a grant from one of those Federal agencies that the sheeple like Washout are so in love with. Then we can spend several years studying the clean up issue. Naturally our offices will have to be set up in Monaco so we can be in neutral ground and liaise with the intellectually superior Europeans.

You "bad asses" always have to bring us accountants into the picture. I have ridden for 40 years and never owned a Harley. I presently have 3 bikes and none of them Harleys. That stereotype is as bad as the poseur, squid, etc.

Of course, why didn't I see it before? They could just angle-grinder-off all the "Aprilia" logos on the castings, cover it with a "Buell" sticker, stick on some fake cooling-fins, then hide the radiator under the fake "tank".

Default Re: Rebuttal to longride (Condensed version)

You'd better consult the GMP on that - nobody can have an opinion on the Future of Motorcycling around here without HIS permission and approval.........
