I just don't get people that need opinion from others on what bike they should get...I can think of ten right now that I want, and I don' t need anybody else's opinion.
Buy what you want. You can always change the tank out to the translucent one later...and pick up some go-fast bits along the way. |

If I could just sit on one bike, then move to the other and sit on it I wouldn't need an opinion; in fact I wouldn't have opened this post because I would have just taken the XB12Ss off the floor; but since there aren't any on the showroom anymore I am asking about seating, and comfortability. I'm pretty sure the point of the forum is to interact with others.... sorry for using it for it's purpose.

Why not get the black one because you like the model and just paint it? Make it your own...

I guess there isn't that much to have painted huh. Good idea, there's using your head. If i do take the black one I'll be riding sooner too, as the bike should be here in May ( already scheduled to come to Germany ). Thanks.

Wait and get exactly what you want, heck, by that time you may decide to get another color, or a Ducati. Maybe another dealer has the color you want.

Absolutely get what you want.
The Triumph Speed Triple is a pretty good call. You can still ride to the Buell dealer to get oil. |

On a serious tip.,don,t settle for less ,I,m just the opposite,I am 5ft/5.5 inches and I dig the cg with the orange tank. They can,t make a tank on the assembly line?Look for an internet dealer,I saw some in south florida at cycle trader that were advertising the orange.Dont give up on your dream ,contact a dealer in your area or nearby, see if he has one,if yes, hey get your cash back.Would you ride a brown car when you wanted a red one?nope!Unless they were going to give you a super deal.

On the Buell the only difference between the black one and the orange one is a few plastic bits that you can swap out later if you still want to... or maybe in three months you'll be dreaming of carbon fiber bling or an aftermarket wind screen anyhow.
My guess is that if Buell can't supply an Orange one right now it's because the supplier of the plastic bits is having a problem. Get the black one and ride now. |
