I rode 500 miles on an XB9 in one day...I wasn't too beat up, but a week of that wouldn't be a vacation!

I just purchased a City Cross, and while it's perfect for squirting between cars and wheeling over potholes, I don't think it would be the best choice for what you've outlined.

If you like that vtwin sound and all that, go for a Ducati ST4 or similar mount with some comfy ergos and wind protection.

Hell, even a Dyna Glide Convertable would fit the bill.

I'm with you. I had a ZRX1200R, great bike. I can tell you the second hour on the hwy is no where near as much fun as the first. It's like water torture, a few drops is ok, after 300 it's a bit tedious.
