I just bought a Multistrata with bags. I gotta tell you, I am very pleased.

They do have their flaws. I had to get over the "spec sheet" side of things and just ride the thing.

The biggest improvement is changing the front drive sprocket down 1 tooth to a 14. What a huge difference in bottom end performance.

Down the road the Ulysses has a chance, but on the way back up it'll run out of air almost as quickly as the KLR will.

in the CW XB12X review it was mentioned that the question about the belt's durability was asked at the new model intro in Denver. Erick said this is a new designed and it was tested for the damage done by eating rocks and stuff and it holds up well.

they showed a video comparing old belt vs new one while both are being fed steel chips and old one desintegrated while new one kept going. the belt life was therefore extended by Buell from 2 years to the life of the bike.

and by the way, since the belt can be changed on the Buells on the side of the road w/o the need to dissassamble the rear section of the machine I would just carry a spare under the seat. pricey option? yeah, but it beats walking home while pushing 400+lbs bike through the dirt.

Buell engineering team? you're right, they couldn't understend that, even if they have 7 national or world champions in the engineering dept.
