Maybe it was named after a Greek hero?

Stupid name for a bike either way, since Buell seems partial to atmospheric anomalies they should have called it a Storm or Hurricane or something

The best drive system I've seen is the enclosed chain like Bultaco had on the Matadors. Properly lubricated, tensioned and kept out of the elements a drive chain will last almost forever, is lighter and less power-robbing than a drive shaft, and more durable than a belt.

Default I don't understand...

Why everybody thinks the revolution motor in a Buell will make a magical, wonderful motorcycle. At best it would be a US-built Superhawk. It will be heavier, have a longer wheelbase and won't have that much more power: 105 HP compared to about 90 for the 1200 Buell motor.

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe Buell has already tested a prototype with a revolution motor (maybe even 8-10 years ago) and decided it wouldn't be right in a Buell?

The cost/performance ratio dorky engineers will never get it because they can't understand that life is more than numbers on a piece of paper.

...there's fairly concrete web rumors of a lower seat to be available soon, and that the 12X would then work for a 30" inseam, with the preload backed off all the way.

I think the Ulysses is awesome and better suited to my personality than the XB12S I currently own. The ability to better carry a passenger and have significant luggage capability moves Buell in the direction of a GS style bike. (Which in an incredible motorcycle.)

You'll find the Night Long in Thrust Blue in the new Jenna Jameson movie, she's really riding the hell out of it.
