Cool bike, but it still feels like somethin's missing ... Oh yeah, the KTM Superduke 990 engine! Maybe Buell can buy some from Polaris ...

pdad13, I have trouble everytime on my XB12S launching hard off the line.

I feel like if I could have a swing arm just and inch or two longer then it would be much easier.

Like you said, lets see if MO notices a difference.

I wondered that as well.

Does that fancy guard system keep every possible rock away from the belt.

One wonders???

I have had pebbles in my harley belts. I still haven't had to replaced the belt (62,000 miles). I just picked the rock out and kept riding (about 20,000 miles ago was the biggest one). The shop told me that as long as the chips and knicks happen on the inside (not the outside edge) of the belt you will never have a problem. I haven't noticed any freying or other problems since it happened. I would think that a drive shaft would be a lot better in sand and rocks, but a proper belt is way better than a chain in my opinion.

Both of these new Buells are a positive move in the right direction for increased appeal to a larger customer base. I particularly like the new 12X model for its versatility.
