You nailed it. If Buell made the improvements you suggest they would be the best selling bikes in the U.S. So many Gen X and Yers would love to buy a U.S. sport bike. i.e they aren't ready for cruisers yet and perhaps never will buy cruisers.

I don't really get the whole acceptance thing. I have a Harley and sportbikes and I've ridden my H-D to sportbike places and my sportbikes to biker places and never heard a word from anyone. I couldn't care less about what others think about my chosen ride.
Don't fall in love with hp charts. That matters little except at the track. In fact, in an upcoming MO story you'll see that sometimes lesser hp allows for a quicker ride. I've ridden the XB series and on a curvy road no one is going to run away from you. If 130 mph wheelies on the freeway are your thing then count it out.

Buz, I am not so much worried about them accepting me and my ride as I am talking about being proud to ride something that was made in the US of A (even if it isn't completely).
