KTM LC4 640 Supermoto weighs in at 302 lbs dry with electric start to boot. Now I know this doesn't compare with the custom two-stroker from your past, but it is available off the rack.
So when are you going to have the Supermoto comparo, eh? The boys at 2WF have a tested the KTM and three Vertimati's, plus their own custom supermoto or two. It's high time you MOrons get your hands on a few of these, Sean, and report on them, expecially since you built one yourself! And how about testing a Borile B500CR again? There is something about a street legal bike with 60+ hp and 230 lb dry weight that draws me in like a moth to a flame. Or you could get all the stuff donated and build one as a custom bike project, then give it all away to a lucky MO subcriber (me) at the end of the year. This way we could all build something like a Borile. BTW, KTM unveiled the Duke 990 w/122 hp and 394 lb. dry weight vs. Ducati's Monster S4R w/113 hp and 425 lb. dry weight. Yeeeeehaaa! My thoughts exactly! Think of what Erik Buell could do with a motor like this, especially in the current XB chassis. There could be all kinds of affordable class racing built around this engine. Could you imagine something like Honda's Dream 50R with this engine? Or placing it in Borile's B500CR? And then picture 25 identical bikes racing around your favorite track.

Yes it does. Seeing that it makes a little more power and is lighter and more compact. Plus yam has had 5 valve engines since th e 80's.
