If Yates doesn't walk away with it I'd be suprised. The guy to watch is Geoff May on the EMGO Suzuki. He's had a great "winter test" season and looks to be tough this year.

Does R1 need a bunch more development? I haven't paid any attention to test lap times. I think Bboz on a competitive bike should be able to keep up. but mebbe i'm just livin in the past.
I don't know what to think about Yates, but I do hope Jordan wins. Something. Soon. As for EMGO and any private/factory team, if that's not a complete oxymoron, it seems to me superstock would be the place to win for them. AMA racing on TV this week already. Its heeere. Then Qatar. My own season starts the last day of this month. Another winter survived. |

The R1 should have a good season. Question is- will Ben step up to the plate? I still think that May will fair better. Yates, on the other hand, should net a Superstock title for Jordan if Suzuki sends parts. Rumor is Suzuki is giving "factory type" support for the team. If that's the case then Yates should coast through the season.

Looks like I'll be leaving work a bit early on Thursday. Supposed to get 7 inches of snow tomorrow after about 3 today. Somebody needs to roust Phil outta his log, fry him up and eat him. Early spring my ass. At least bike week makes it seem like spring.

Did you know Jamie Hacking won Superstock on the R1 last year? I don't see Ben Bostrom as being consistant enough to pull off a title. My prediction: Ben Spies by a mile. |

Yates should have his license pulled for the sh1t he's pulled.
I saw him _run_ out onto the track and lay down to get a restart.

Way to go Ben Spies! He won the Daytona Superstock Race without breaking a sweat.
I love it when I'm right! |
