Default reluctant warriors.

Even I have a 214.. With Honorable... amazing for only 2 months of OTS.Hey I would volunteer again to fly if they would take me. Air Force best planes better woman is what they used to say but I was puzzy who quit. for a girl. ..... I should complete my license by spring....longride what say you? (my favorite O'Rielly saying). Hey you were a city Fireman that's pretty impressive..so

Seriously, it seems it is always the guys who have never been to war that are the most gung ho..In my experience, most guys who have seen combat don't go around talking about yet alone avocating it. McGovern, Kerry, Powell all relunctant warriors.. McGovern was a decorated WW2 pilot for God's sake and Nixon (never saw combat) made him out to be a coward and a traitor.

Yep the lane splitting thing would would scare me cause here in WA folks are like you said changing lanes when traffic is moving above a crawl.

That whole deal was another one of Condit's F'up's. That's one engineer that should have stuck to his protractor. Between that, getting bought by McD with their own money then giving Harry the reins we're lucky we still have jobs.

Default Re: Who cares how many cylinders

I agree completely.

I would love for someone to answer these questions:

Why is displacement the magic number that has to be equal for all the bikes?

Why not number of cylinders, number of valves/cylinder, bore, stroke, weight, hp, etc.?

There needs to be some thought put into the rules that allows for a diverse field to be competitive, without making it financially impossible for anyone other than the big four to compete. Perhaps an overall rules package (weight, displacement, modifications) that provides reasonable limits for different engine configurations would work best.
