Well in terms of protection from least to best:

1) Total nudity

2) Jeans

3) Jeans + assless chaps

4) Proper riding pants

So, since I have seen you ride wearing only jeans, it would make sense that jeans and assless chaps would be perfect for you.

I'm not sure if EBass wears jeans under his or not.

Yeah, I think that's the point. There will always be fluctiations, but I think time will prove out that the 2 buck gas of not too long ago is the aberration, not the the 3 buck oil of now. Hey, it might make people more motorcycle friendly! Here in CA, you get to use the commuter lanes, and they allow lane splitting, so it's a much quicker way to get to work. Personally, I don't like to lane split unless everything is stopped, so some fool is unlikely to take it into his head to change lanes, but people who have the gonads for it can make some serious time, even in heavy traffic. I think this stuff has happened because motorcyclist's have a bit more clout here than in, say Oregon, where they got a bit sniffish about wanting to pay for a dislocated shoulder because it involved a motorcycle. It happened while unloading one from a pickup, for cryin out loud. I say let it get to 5 or 6 bucks.

What's this got to do with Assless chaps? I don't think any of us can think of anything else right now. At last, we have found something that unites us!
