No, I'm pretty sure he was on a Suzuki. SPEED actually had him on a Suzuki on the grid. Then they had him listed on a Triumph on the ticker, but I think it was a mistake.

I'll double check, though.

I knew they screwed up the Buell listing but had no idea the Triumph was bogus too. Thanks for the headsup.

What a snoozefest. We had our 9th annual Daytona 200 race watch party on Saturday. It was a record high 78 degrees, and we had a whoppin' 11 people show up. Unfortunately, I was one of the 11.

I should have been with the rest of them, out riding, getting a suntan, ANYTHING except watching the Honda show.

BORING.

My hat is off to the AMA for totally destroying road racing in the USA.

Of course, it is every manufacturers dream, as each of the big 4 now has their own class to race and win in. Makes great magazine ads.

I think I will watch some golf.

The AMA ruined motocross, why not road racing too?

Anyone with the big bucks gets things done their way. Look at the Edison Dye-AMA sanctioned MX disasters of the middle 70's. Now history is repeating itself.

The AMA somehow weasels their way into every event they can. I bet if I got more than three buddies to go on a trail ride at the same time, we'd get a call from Bob Rasor demanding his pound of flesh.

Did you check out the tire changes in the Honda pit? Phew, no way a privateer can cope with that.

The Classic Golf channel is best. Sam Snead's the man.

It was Michael Barnes that was listed as riding the Buell. However, he was actually on a Yamaha R6.

Isn't it funny that the four major roadracing events were going to be dominated by four different manufacturers? Suzuki gets Superbike, Kawasaki Supersport, Honda gets FX, and yamaha was supposed to get Superstock. Unfortunately, some Suzuki riders in Superstock screwed up the AMA's grand plan!

If Al won he would have replaced the race with a science fair.
