Who can build these engines to 120 and keep them reliable? It sounds fun, but I'd be nervous to have just anyone build it.

Really? Real, actual testing says otherwise. Where's your evidence? Oh yeah, you don't have any! You make statements on safety based on thirdhand opinions from squids like yourself.

The title is incorrect. Cicotto is actually using an XB-12R, according to the AMA results sheets.

Default Re: These are non-technical American V-Twin bigots you are dealing with

They DO dominate some forms of racing, like dirt track, and Top Fuel drag racing. It's all a matter of the requirements of that particular form of racing.

By the way, I may be grumpy sometimes, but I'm certainly not old.

Default 2-wheel Tuesday tonight?

I seem to remember that Mike Ciccotto was going to be a guest on SpeedTv tonight... talking about Buell and racing and whatever else. Certainly worth a viewin'!

Say, Tom, (he asked himself) how do you like your new XB12, now that you've been riding it for two months?

Well, I like it very much indeed. What a fun, lively, fast and aggressive little bike this is. I don't believe I have had this much fun on a bike since my first bike, back in the day, when I was just a kid (Yamaha RD350, 1974?)

Buell is building a fine motorcycle, and deserves the full support of Harley-Davidson. But alas, the dealer network is not all that it should be. Most of them seem to view Buell and us Buelligans as an annoyance. But some, like Glendale HD in SoCal, are very good.

I think I'll hop on my bike and ride out to BUELLTON for a bowl of split-pea soup, then maybe later watch that funny movie, Ferris BUELLER'S day off. Heh heh...
