MLADIN
Great duel between Roberts and him in the first race but the best (Mladin) prevailed. |

Give Roberts 20 more horsepower (like Mladin has) and see where he'd end up...
Conventional wisdom holds that a 7 pound weight reduction equals a gain of 1 horsepower. So, KPaul, just put your wife on back w/ Mladin for the next race and it'd nearly even out. Assuming your wife is under 140lbs, that is. Kinda puts things in a different light, doesn't it? Yeah... |

And don't be thinkin Jason Pridmore getting a 2nd and a 3rd is evidence that the Suzukis have a slight advantage either.

Hey the twins had their day last year. If they can't get the same horsepower out of the same displacement then get rid of em. I am sure Honda will be racing the new CBR1000RR inline 4 or perhaps a V-5 next year.

Like I said before V-Twins are dead in AMA superbike. Next year will be a great year with the new ZX-10 and CBR1000RR.

If you're going to be posting comments on someone else's dime I'm going to have to tell your boss!

If so, then on whose picture will you practice your kissing technique next year?

Pfff... He'd end up on his a$$ and then cry about how the tires couldn't hold up to the additional power. God forbid he should learn tire management.

But I have to agree with kpaul. With the current AMA rules it will be virtually imposible to make a twin competitive. Even with unlimited mods to a street bike design, there is only so much air that it can move. Even keeping the I4's to minimal mods (lets do a tear down on Yates and Mladins' bike to see), todays I4 is hitting up to 170hp. The AMA needs to do something to keep the Superbike series mixed, and not turn into a Suzuki cup race. I'm not sure that weight classes, ala GP!, are the answer (how much unobtainiun is out there). But it might keep some mix in the bike design.
Race 1 was a blast, and Speed actually blocked out the time to watch all the racing at once. (Someone will loose a job for that screwup ![]() |

It's a good thing Mat's teammate(Aaron) took Eric out a couple of weeks ago.
Oh, wait, that was an accident wasn't it... |
