I like squids, if there is lots of garlic with them. If not prepared properly, they are kinda rubbery though.

Impressive. I agree with you completely. Unfortunately, Honda's contingency is all for naught in 600 Supersport since you won't be able to buy one until the season is almost over.

I see. Some street bikes have frames which are too flexy for racing and some of them don't have steering dampers. Horrors of horrors. But hang tough, because the next models from Honda and Yamaha will be true superbikes not race REPLICAS. What happened to the idea that the series would be for production based bikes? (Not pure racebikes) This isn't meant to be MotoGP.

I wouldn't worry too much about the street squids buying and bragging about their Superbike-spec streetbikes. Boys will be boys. It's all good.

and you own that RC51 because??? A couple of World Superbike titles and an AMA Superbike title??? Sounds like someone is doing a little posing. Let's take a look at the Hard Numbers page in the back of Motorcyclist Magazine. They've got a couple of columns called "roll on 60-80mph" and "wet weight". Honda RC51 4.94 seconds, 489 pounds.

Suzuki GSXR600 4.66 seconds, 423 pounds.

Suzuki GSXR750 4.11 seconds, 426 pounds.

Suzuki GSXR1000 2.73 seconds, 437 pounds.

I thought those V-twins were lightweight, torquey machines. Maybe if HRC has totally reworked the bike. Of course since the performance of a stock RC51 fails to impress, at least it's a reasonably comfy bike to tour on. NOT!

Yeah, I like the post race where he said "if Gobert hadn't run me off the track I'd have won," the instant replay doesn't show it that way looks like he's as full of hisself as his dad and brother

You're welcome.

Well, a "punter" is actually someone that wagers money in a gamble, but the term is also used to describe the average joe with money to spend.

Well, what do you think the RC51 is? It is a Racebike designed for World and AMA Superbike that Honda eventually brought to the street, not the other way around.

Same thing happened with the CBR-600RR. A bike designed along side the RC211V for track duty and then sold as a street bike.

This will be the theme for the 2004 RCB-1000 that replaces the 954RR. Purpose built race bike, sold to the masses.
