Check this video of a bike narrowly avoiding a wreck.
At speed. Note the dashcam shows 189kph. That's 118 mph, and the bike had just passed the camera car. Motorcycle Barely Avoids Scary Accident*Video

Hey !! that's what happened to me on the Trophy except I wasn't going 118 and didn't avoid getting hit by the van..
I didn't soil my drawers either, I'd like to point that out too...

Same thing happened to me when I use to break in new Hawleys for a rental place in Compton. I was on a new Heritage tooling along on the 15 freeway going West about 25 miles out of Barstow, at the bottom of the Cajone grade.
It's a split freeway, the East & West lanes separated by an armco gard barrier and a dirt median about 100 foot wide. So anyway, here I am, rumbling along at about sixty, minding my own business when some lady in a Honda Civic goes to sleep behind the wheel in the Eastbound fast lane, and goes crashing through the barrier, the dirt strip, and right across all lanes of the westbound 15 about two feet in front of me. Dusted the dirt of my front fender. WHOOSH! I was so stunned I just kept going, and didn't stop 'till I hit the low gas light around Pasadena. Guess I used up a little luck on that one.

I once road up on a sidewalk to avoid a similar situation, scared the bejeezus out of me. If it hadn't happened at a crosswalk where they ramp the curb for wheelchairs I'd have flown ass over kettle.

I had something similar to Cuddy's story, only the car hit the center divider and I had to duck under an explosion of debris that entered my side of the roadway. Luckily them concrete dividers are tough or I would of been sent over the hood at 85.

I feel horrible. Nothing like this ever happened to me. I feel like a kid with a bag of rocks on Halloween.

Well you know what they say in Nascar,...drive into the smoke and aim for the car infront of you, by the time you get there it'll be gone.

And then there was this time in High School the cops were chasing me on my old Yamaha 360 Enduro, all the way from Western Avenue in Hollywood to my folks house in Silverlake. Must have been 10 cop cars and two helicopters. The Narks that started the chase tried to crash into me by pinning me up against the curb on Highland Ave, but somehow I made it in the space between two parked cars at about 50 mph, the sidewalk was broken and I shot down the sidewalk for about half a block, and came out in front of the narks in thier Matador, that made 'em madder 'n hell.
Then I ditched 'em but the helicopter found me and they beat the krap out of me with nightsticks right on my own front porch. Must have been 20 cop cars all with the sirens and bubble machines goin'. My Mom came out and they punched her, so they dropped all the charges after a while, and I got my 360 out of impound that next day. Ah, memories...
