Hit-and-Run Suspect Drives Home With Motorcycle Stuck in Bumper
A 49-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after being hit from behind by a suspected intoxicated driver… who continued to drive home with the motorcycle stuck in the front bumper of his Jeep.
According to Mobile news station WKRG, the accident occurred at around 6 am on March 16. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike but the car allegedly kept driving. Police were called and the injured rider was taken to a hospital. Two hours later, police found the Jeep with the motorcycle still attached, parked in a driveway about a mile away.
William C. Pruett, 29, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, first degree assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The motorcyclist was not identified; WKRG reported he was in critical condition.
