I relocated to the mid coast of Maine, bring my collection of eight motorcycles with me. My collection ranges from a 2012 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer, BMWs to vintage Hondas. I thought establishing a relationship with a good repair shop was paramount to keeping my bikes ready to ride. I chose Tri-Sports, ... in Topsham. What a mistake. I brought my Vintage Honda in to get some work done, and it ended up spending a month there. They don't have internet, or email. They can't source anything that is not contemporary and in their catalog, or communicate with anyone in the industry to get parts or seek info if they are stumped. I did all the leg work ordering parts and bringing them over. After I received a call that the bike was "all set" I arranged to pick up the bike after hours. The motorcycle was difficult to start, and when it did it ran horribly. I made the mistake of trying to just get it home but ended up getting stranded on the side of the highway at night, waiting for a flatbed to come and get it. 3 hours. At this point, my thoughts were to cut my losses and just bring it home, but I decided to bring it back and see if they would make good on this problem. After speaking with the "customer service" individual the next morning, he advised me to "calm the f**k down" or he was going to "come over there and choke me the f**k out." Great customer service. After this exchange, I spoke with owner Hank. He offered me nothing, putting the blame on me and said its a vintage bike and they are all like this, and usually his guy isn't this way. Apparently he doesn't mind his customer service guy inviting his customers to a cage fight. Good karma you're sending out there Hank. If you look at Tri-Sports from the outside it looks as if they have been closed for years. Perhaps they should be. I would never go there again, unless I want to get in a fight with his mentally challenged pit bull Brian. The difference is that I have been training in mixed martial arts since I was eight years old. The best defense is to avoid the situation to begin with. That's what I should have done in the first place. The next guy may take you up on your offer Brian. You better be ready.
