Suzuki officially entered the American market on Aug. 16, 1963, making 2013 Suzuki’s 50th anniversary in the U.S. The Japanese manufacturer is continuing its celebration in 2014 with special anniversary models of the GSX-R750 and Hayabusa. The Gixxer 750 won our oddball sportbike winner in 2011 but failed to retain its title last year when pitted against Triumph’s Daytona and Kawasaki’s revitalized ZX-6R. But the granddaddy of Japanese repli-racers has a terrific balance of power and handling that makes it one of our favorite sportbikes.
